Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Redthorn, A well fitted and cared for cruising barge ideal for the waterways of the Uk and Europe, and equally usable as a static home. Built by DB Marine in 2002,Redthorn offers fantastic space, light, and a quality fit out.
Entering through the collapsible wheelhouse, ideal when encountering the low bridges of the French canals, you can see this is an excellent navigational point, whilst also being a nice area to sit and enjoy your surroundings wherever you find yourself.
A double door leads to the aft cabin, and excellent sized double cabin with good storage and light.
Steps lead forward from the wheelhouse to the main saloon. This area houses a fully fitted kitchen and lounge area. The fitted kitchen has a great amount of worktop and storage, and comes with an LPG gas cooker, fridge, and an area plumbed and ready for a washing machine. There is also a breakfast bar with two stools.
The lounge is again very light and airy, and gives a feeling of comfort and space, enhanced by the opening sky light. A corridor leads to the bathroom, that has a macerator toilet, bath with shower attachment, hand basin and large storage cupboard.
Further along the corridor is a large double cabin, with built in bed and built in storage.
The boat has a Kabola central heating system, and has double glazing throughout. She has been well insulated, and well decorated. She comes with black water and fresh water tanks, as well as a 22 kw generator, so can definitely be used to cruise as well as a static home.
Externally there is good space, and the boat was dry docked at the end of 2017, where any work needed was done before the hull was painted and had new anodes fitted.
If you are looking for a spacious and comfortable home, that has been well maintained and can be used as a static or cruising home, then Redthorn should be viewed.
